Wallpaper poinsettia!

Wallpaper poinsettia!

Fold your own Christmas stars for the window.

Follow Monica Karlstein's lead and use your wallpaper scraps to fold a beautiful poinsettia.
All the pictures you see in the post come from Monica and you can find more lovely crafts on her Instagram @monicakarlstein or blog: hemmafixbloggen.se

You need: Wallpaper, string, scissors, glue gun, ribbon or string for hanging.

Here's how you do it:

1. Cut a piece of wallpaper that is the same height as you want the diameter of the poinsettia to be, and a length that is at least twice as long as the height of the wallpaper.

2. Fold the paper like an accordion.

3. Trim the edges as desired. It can be nice to cut the edges pointed or round, or why not every other round and every other angular.

4. Tie a string in the middle of the accordion and cut off the remaining string.

5. Unfold and glue the edges together so that the poinsettia holds together. Use a glue gun, but be careful not to burn yourself.

6. Hang it up. Either you use a thin sewing thread or transparent fishing line or a decorative textile ribbon.

Tip: Use a glue gun instead of regular glue, which is often too weak to glue stiff wallpaper. With a glue gun, the adhesive sticks immediately and is easier to work with.
